Default My oven door is stuck locked
Model Number: 31-2797-66   Brand: Tappan   Age: 5 - 10 years   
I started the self-clean cycle on my oven last night and now it is stuck closed. It wont open, there is no outer lever for the lock and I don't see a release any where so I need a little help.....

sometimes you can just unplugg it for few mins it will reset

I tried that it didn't work, thank you though....I still need help my husbands birthday is this weekend and I wanted to make him a cake, any ideas?

if you put the oven into clean, will it begin to engage the clean program ?

If I turn on the cleaning program the light turns on.....

heating light or locked light ? .... in clean mode when timer is set to 'off', can you disengage lock latch ?
