I have an electric Tappan stove that the top section won't heat up. I could not find the model number but found a general troubleshooting schematic. Which give me the p/n 316441457.

Came here to make sure I'm doing things right. Going to check the wires. Check the heating probe. What things should I exactly be looking for? Should I keep the power off and ohm through it to make sure or should I keep power on and carefully check the voltage? What should I be getting?

Also going to check the Element!

It doesn't give me a Fault code on the electronic timer.

Thank you!!!

Are both heating elements suppose to come on at same time?
I turned on bake and the bottom comes on. Turned it off and turned on broil and the top comes on. Turned it off. Both elements are working. She says it just seems colder or takes longer to heat up.

Could it be the thermostat?
