Model is Kenmore 911-9544990 according to the tag on the drawer.

Last night, the oven stayed on, even though the knob was off. Finally killed it at the circuit breaker. Help sites say that it's probably some sort of control board, but I'm not finding any info on this specific model as to whether the board is available any more. Some sites suggested other possible problems, as well, so I'm wondering if there's some way to test the board before we go through that time and expense (some of the available ones can be quite expensive).

The oven came with the house and we've been here ten years -- no idea how long the previous owners had it. If the board is available, I'm also wondering if its cost effective to repair it at this age, or whether it would be better to buy a new model.

This is the first problem major issue we've had with the oven, but it is showing its age...
