gas valve sticking open
Model Number: jgbs23aea1aa Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
The oven gas valve appears to be sticking open since I noticed a small "pilot" type flame directly above it inside the air control chamber. Could this be directly related to the fact that I just finished replacing the glow igniter, was testing it and possibly had a piece of dirt get inside this gas valve while reinstalling the manifold pipe? I immediately shut the gas (propane) supply valve and this "pilot" light went out. I would appreciate any suggestions or solutions. thank you
