GE Modular Downdraft Cooktop
Model Number: JP378B9K2BC Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
I have a GE Modular Downdraft Cooktop that at times (especially after I've been cooking on it and the stove is hot) will lock and unlock by itself repetedly, it just keep beeping locked and unlocked, sometimes for close to an hour. The Control Panel Assembly is no longer a part that can be ordered, do you think this is a problem that can be repaired?

I do not think there is something wrong besides the control module. This part is no longer available and I'm afraid it is time for a new cooktop.
