hello. i have a 90s kenmore gas stove with electronic ignition. three times over the past year the gas has mysteriously completely shut off. there is definitely gas coming into the house (the water heater and furnace continue to operate), so it's not a matter of paying the gas bill. after two or three days the gas begans to flow again on its own and the stove works fine. this is not a problem with the ignition, it continues to spark and i've also tried matches just to be sure. there is no odor and no hiss... there is no gas. i'm guessing that this may well have something to do with the gas safety valve, but know next to nothing about stoves. does anyone out there have any thoughts or suggestions for me?
thanks! -irving street
