My oven won't heat to temperature correctly. I think I know what we need but want another opinion before I order the part.
We had a friend look at it that used to do appliance repair and he said that we need the gas safety valve. It heats up but you have to set it to about 425 to get it to 350. Right now I have it a 470 for it to get to 425. Then it doesn't always stay at that temperature so you have to watch it. He came and looked at it, took the bottom of the oven out and shook that valve around and then put it back together. This was a year ago and it worked since then until a few weeks ago and now it is doing it again. Do you think that is it and that safety valve is just full of crud or something? I want to order the part and get it fixed because baking is really a pain right now with it the way it is. Thanks for any advise Christi fillhardfarm@sbcglobal.net |
