Our stove won't light. We checked the breakers and everything is fine. We turn all four knobs and we don't hear that click click click. We do smell the gas..so that is fine (I guess). Would the ignitor be bad on all four burners at once?? HELP:(

If the oven works and the display is lit then the problem most likely is a bad spark module (#5 on the diagram).

- The spark module Part number: AP3031050
Part number: AP3031050

Because it's very expensive, you can use the spark module Part number: AP4010034
Part number: AP4010034

In that case you'll have to use the mounting bracket from the kit.

Gene
I asked you the other day about our burners not lighting...we didn't even think about checking the oven. We checked today before ordering any parts..the oven is not lighting and there is no pilot light. Is the oven on the same ignitor as the burners on our Whirlpool? thanks in advance
(hope you are NOT in harms way with the Cali fires!!!)

The oven igniter is absolutely separated from the top burners ignition. It's operated by the control board and has its own igniter (#16 on the diagram). In order to diagnose this problem you have to unplug the igniter and check for 120 VAC to the igniter while the control calls for Bake.

If there is proper voltage then the igniter is the culprit.

If there is no proper voltage then post the result and we'll proceed further.

- The oven igniter Part number: AP3135265
Part number: AP3135265
