oven temp 175 degrees below setpoint as indicated by oven thermometer touchpad digitally indicates that temp is rising normally until desired setpoint is reached, then beeps to indicate such, no fault codes or other issues at hand oven temp sensor ohms out at 1143 ohms @ 80 degrees I believe touchpad to be defective, but would apprecite your professional advice unit is in immaculate condition, touchpad has been replaced 3 times previously because it would beep at various times throughout the day/night when oven not in use and no fault codes displayed, each time the unit worked properly until again failed Thank you for your time and consideration Ads By Google Related Models |

Upon further investigation into the problem, I have discovered that the problem does not lie in the membrane switch. The only other parts that could be the problem are 7428P010-60 (relay board) or 7601P206-60 (cntrl-elec). Any ideas?

Based on your description of the symptoms I would say that about 21 degrees of the discrepancy is due to your temperature sensor (should read 1100 ohms @ 80 F). The rest of the error is likely due to a problem with the controller ( 7601P206-60 ). This is a fairly common failure in the controller.

Thank you so much with your diagnosis, but another problem has just occurred..............the auto ignition has stopped functioning for the stove top. Would I be fortunate enough for the same controller that is causing the oven problem to be this issue in this case, also? Thanks again Rob |

Thank you, I have ordered a spark module (igniter) and that should take care of the problem. While searching for info I found a place in Windsor, Ontario that rebuilds clock timers for half the cost of a new one and they give a 1 year warranty. If anyone wants that info I can get it for you. Because it's my aunts stove, I bought her a new one from Midwest in Chigago,IL for 179.99.
