One of the 4 electric coils glows red even when on low. I suspect it is the switch, but don't see how to get to it once I remove the 2 top screws.

You have to remove the cook top from the counter top and turn it upside down.

Thanks Gene ........ I have it out, but the black fire box has no openings. It looks like there are 4 screws that are connecting the white cook top to the black fire box via L-brackets. Does that make sense ? Even then, am I going to have to loosen all four switchs in order to get to the area where the switches are ?

The diagrams for this model are broken and I can not see exactly how your stove designed. If you can post some pictures - it might help.
