Oven door won't come unlocked

Model Number: art6110w Brand: Amana Age: 1 - 5 years

We just recently bought a house. And I went to clean the oven (its a self cleaning oven) and when it got finished and cooled down the door would not unlock!!! Its been a week and the door still will not unlock and I am at a loss. Can somebody help me please!?!?!?!?!?
