I just received from you a flat elec. oven ignitor with 2 white leads. The ends of the leads are in a plastic casing. When I push the metal clips from the 2 red extension leads into the plastic casing, they do not secure to the white leads. Am I supposed to squeeze the plastic casing with pliers? Thank you, Jules Kaplan jaykay1936@aol.com

Jules, If the old igniter has a quick disconnect plug then you do not need anything else from this kit. Attach the new igniter to the Bake burner and plug it in the oven igniter plug. Otherwise just follow the installation instructions included in the igniter kit. Part number: AP4012072
Gene.
