Our GE electric range stopped heating suddenly. The display and clock work fine, can set the oven to heat up and it registers "pre" like it is trying to, but nothing happens. Same thing with the stovetop, the heating elements do not heat up though the red light comes on that a burner is "on." This happened all of a sudden yesterday. Cooked breakfast, came back to heat up lunch and the oven wouldn't work

Is this a bad control panel if the displays work? We checked the voltage, it has power.

I am having the same issue. Power is on and everything seems to work . . . except no heat anywhere. Come on yall . . . can we get a little help here please?

Odds are that it is a power problem as the control board (timer) and the lights use 120 volts but all the heating elements require the full 240 volts.

Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!
