I was preheating the oven when I heard a loud "pop." The oven stopped working.

The stove (and indicator lights) and oven light work. The Electronic Oven Control, on the other hand, has no display. I removed the back panel and examined the wiring, power connections, etc. I examined under the stove top. Everything looks fine.

Any suggestions?

I didn't get a response from anyone so I went ahead and ordered a new Electronic Oven Control. Problem solved!

Pop, the same thing happen to my oven..........how much was the part and do you know the part #?

The replacement E.O.C. cost $124 on-line. The E.O.C. manufacturer wouldn't stand behind it's product, instead, directing me to Frigidaire. Frigidaire wouldn't reimburse me under warranty because I didn't hire a repairman to service the oven. Let's see...the oven doesn't work...I replace the E.O.C. and the oven now works. Why did I need to hire a repairman to tell me that??? The repair may be covered under a home warranty policy, if you have one.

The E.O.C. is easy to replace. You remove the back panel of the oven to access the E.O.C. Disconnect the wiring to the E.O.C. and remove a few screws. That's all there is to it. The new E.O.C. will come with a plastic face cover (what you see when you look at the control panel) that you simply adhere to the front before installation. Remember to disconnect your power source before doing any of this!
