I've recently purchased & received a replacement for the control panel for my kitchen Aid Superba gas range, model # KGST307HBT8. As per the web site and customer service, the P/N it crosses to is: WP 9782418CW. Problem: although the two panels appear identical, the electronics are very different. On the oldmone, the electrical connection with the stove is achieved via a 'plug & socket' (two red wires w/a connector). The new one appears to be solid state - having a ribbon - like design. Obviously, a change in technology has played havoc with my stove's control panel. Is there a way to fashion a conversion or is rhe older - copper-conductor/wire type panel available? Thanks!
