The error is 5R6. The touchpad will not operate at all to turn on oven. what is 5R6?

Possible the control in Sabbath mode. Press and hold the Clock pad for 5 seconds to disable Sabbath mode.

This worked. Saved the customer a couple of hundreds cause we were thinking the whole clock needed replacing. Thanks.

You need to read Gene's reply concerning Sabbath. We are talking about repairing appliances, not prayer for Jews.

that is the purpose of the sabbath feature,so the stove turns on automatically when programmed ,i live here in the toronto area where many of my clients are Jews ,and i programme their stoves for them. they purposley purchase these stoves with this feature, as a gentile iwas ignorant of this feature at on time

The Owners manual explains what is a "Sabbath mode" technically and how to turn it "on" or "off".
