The elements on the left side of this range has a top and bottom element with an element bridge between them. The bridge works but not the bottom (both are on one control). The top element works and is on a separate control. The replacement part shows both elements with a bridge as one part. My question is: if the bridge works and the bottom does not, can this be a switch problem or is is definitely a bottom element problem? Since a previous post, I figured out how to remove the front panel, disconnect all necessary connections (after taking many notes so I could reassembe them) and take the two side screws out holding the cooktop down. The cooktop can now be removed to access the elements. The bottom element switch 'appears' to be OK usiing an ohmeter (don't know if I am getting OK readings because of the control controlling BOTH bridge and lower element). Sorry about the lenghty explanation....
