The 9" left front burner (with simmer select) on my Kenmore model 79096212406 cooktop quit working. The "element on" light comes on but it doesn't heat up. I removed the burner and checked the element for continuity and it seems to be okay. All of the other burners are working just fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Problem solved!
I swapped out two of the element control infinite switches that are the same to see if just the switch was bad. Apparently there was a loose connection, because all of the elements are working correctly now. Glad I tested the continuity and the infinite switch before replacing the $120 element. :D
