Our range hood is a Whirlpool gold - we cannot locate a ssn - when we slide the hood out the light comes on, but there is a loud humming noise coming from somewhere. It stops when we shut the slider door. We tried to order a new light - we can't seem to find it - it is stating discontinued - we wondered if it might be a starter or box-dist. There is no trouble shooting to help us determine the cause. Can you help and possibly give us a number for a generic light to replace the one we have?
