We purchased a control panel and can't seem to get the ribbons to stay in place with the brackets to control the oven. Any suggestions

There is a latch on the each of the connectors which has to be pulled up prior to connection of the ribbon cable. Insert the ribbon cable all the way into the slot and push the latch in.
