Kenmore 30" wall electric double oven. No error codes. Clock and two locked door messages are blinking but oven is not locked. If I open upper over door the light is on and if I open lower oven the lower oven light is on. Seperate touch pad and conrol board. Touch pad seems working but not sure. I disconnected the touch pad ribbon to see if I get any other errors. Same clock and locked door messages are blinking. Interestingly clock even thouhg it blinks it works correctly from the tiem power is on. I shut of the oven at the main panl for few days to just see if the reset takes care of it but no luck.

Pls advise.

Since no luck with any of the options, I decided to replace the oven control and see if it solves the problem. Applicance partspro customer service helped me find the part. The part I got (AP3417491) and its layout looks lot different from the original I have in my oven. The instructions are not proper to follow to replace and the new sheet also says I must replace latch motor which is also a different company and looks lot different. How should I proceed? If I want to try adn if it doesn't work I am still not sure what the real probem is. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ravi

After more research I got confirmation that these controls had changes during these past few years and looks like I got the right new control per the experts. I installed new latch assembly and replaced the old control with the new one.

The only question is about the ground wire. Instructions say I do not need to connect ground wire for plastic controls. My old control was plastic and had gnd wire connection from control to the brackets and to the metal sheet inside where latch assembly and fans exist. Should I ignore the ground connection in the new control or connect it???
