We have a CV2236 cooktop cook and vent. The blower is not working. Someone post a solution which is to push the reset button.

Mai I know where is this reset button for the blower?

The reset button is usually near the motor for the fan or on the motor.
Can you get to it?:(

Thank you for telling me that the reset button is near the motor. I openned the cover of the blower. It appears that the motor is inside the duct and it is not possible to reach unless to remover the blower.

Shall I take out the blower?

John

We finally had a technician to inspect the down draft ventilation system. It was found the switch, part #414.466 is broken. He can not find the replacement part locally.

Is any suggestion on how to get a switch for CV 2236 ventilator intake and CV 2136 cooktop.

Thank you very much.

This part has been discontinued by the manufacturer. You can try to remove the old part and take it to a local appliance parts store.

Thanks.

I will try to take it out and see if there a spare part let in somewhere.
