Two of the burners on this drop-in gas range have yellow flames. The burners themselves can be removed by pulling them straight up, but reseating them hasn't helped. Is this just a matter of adjusting the flame height? Do the round gaskets that go between the burners and the body of the range need to be replaced?

Give the age of the range I'm hesitant to spend much on it knowing it needs to be replaced soon.

Thanks in advance

There is an air / gas regulator on the feed tube. Chances are, the air mixture is off. Can't miss it - usually a phillips head screw on a flange that twists. - loosen it and turn until the flame burns a pretty blue.

Can't see the diagram, should be between the stove knob and the burner. It rotates right and left. it should be very visible.
