Neither oven or broiler ignition however oven burner will ignite in the cleaning mode. So it cannot be the igniter. The thermostat with oven sensor asembly is $120 plus so want to be sure if it is bad. I really need the schematic diagram of the control module to determine if the problem does not lie there. Thanks in advance.

My wife's ignorant nephew (Josh) spilled a liquid down into the range immersing the door latch switch. When my wife did a clean cycle it cooked the microswitch in these juices locking it into the clean mode. Since no microswitch is at hand I merely swapped the wiring around. A cheap and expedient fix until I locate a new switch. This site says the part is unavailable from them.

I have done further research for you but unfortunately the switch including the whole assembly has been discontinued through the manufacturer and no other replacements have been made.

What you can do is keep calling around to see if any other companies have it left in their own stock. If they say they can order it they will not be able to get it from GE either.

Your other option is to take the old switch to a local service company that rebuilds and resales used appliances. You never know. You might find a local experienced technician that may know or have a switch that will work in its place.
