Am in the middle of installing a new Jenn Aire oven with downdraft and have a part that is a black cylinder about 1" in diameter and 2 inches long. Weak magnet at the end. Says "Drying Only" on the side. What is it and what is it for?

Thanks

What the installation instructions said about this part? Can you post a picture of the part?

There is nothing in the paperwork showing this part. It was in a large plastic bag, loose, with other parts bundled into smalled plastic bags. the stove is in and works fine - I am wondering if it is for a dryer or something. Having trouble attaching a picture - will try again in a separate post. THanks!

Sounds very strange. Did you buy any other appliances together with the stove from the same place?

I have no idea what is this part for. Might be a picture will make it clear.

Thanks for trying Gene. I have tried to post a picture on numerous occasions but for some reason it doesn't work. But the stove/oven does work so I am going to chalk this up to one of life's mysteries....Thanks again!

Check the size of the picture file. If it's too large it would not go through.

I made the file smaller - but when I 'upload' the dialogue box goes blank after about 10 seconds - tried with several different pictures. I can send you the picture if you have an email I can send it to but that may not be within the rules of the forum.
