GE Range JSP28G Timer/Clock very slow & noisy

Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years

We have a GE Range JSP28G (purchased 1981). The timer/clock has just become very slow and noisy. Does anyone know how to disconnect the clock so it doesn't make this horrible noise? Can't tell how it is wired to disconnect.
