Whenever I turn on the over or broiler it stays on only for a minute or two, mabye it gets to 170 degrees then it shuts off.
Please help.
Heard mabye it's a temperature sensor???

What is the oven ignitor doing at that time?

Does an actual flame appear on the oven burner?


Your oven used a 'hot surface' (glow ignitor) ignition system. You can read about how they work and the observations and tests necessary to start diagnosing problems with them at the following link:
