I have a Thermador gas cooktop with a burn that won't light. I've replaced the ignitor but this did not solve the problem. I've tried to lift off the top cover to check the re-ignitor box but could not remove 1 burner nut. Any suggestions?

HI - I just removed my Thermador burners today for a similar problem. I shot them with "PB Blaster" penetrating oil before I removed the nuts. They came off quite ealily then. On my range, which is about 5 years older than yours, I had to also remove the front and rear trim to be able to lift the burner cover plate off.
Good luck!

jbthuis - thanks for the tip about PB blaster. I should have tried something like that. I was able to get the top cover off by undoing the gas supply to the one burner but it did get bent in the process. That center burner has only thin sheet metal to support the biggest burner. Not a good design. I couldn't find any bad connections so it may be a bad ignitor box. Just needed to look for something simple before spending the $200+.
