Hi,

I am pretty sure that I need a new igniter for my oven. The burners and broiler work fine, but the oven stopped heating up. I checked the igniter and it is not glowing when the oven is turned on.

I looked up the diagram for my model (MGR5755QDB) and purchased the indicated igniter (part # AP4096256). I made a dumb mistake and didn't check the connection on the old igniter before purchasing, and when I pulled the panel off the back to swap the parts, I found that the new igniter does not have the same connection as the old one. The connection for my model is more square, with two flat metal contacts. It looks just like part #AP4096758. I noticed that under part # AP4096758 it also lists my range model. Is it safe to assume the AP4096758 igniter will work with my range?

Thanks for your help.
