When the bake button is pressed the broiler comes on instead of the bake element. Element reads good with a meter. What else besides the clock/timer control modgule could it be?

Do you know for sure that this is not how it always worked or did you just notice this and felt something was wrong?
The reason I ask is that it is normal for stoves to switch back and forth between the bake and broil elements when in pre-heat and bake.
Also are there any other symptoms of a problem?

If the bake never comes on then the control board would be at the top of the list. I would unplug the unit and check the wiring from the board to the bake element just to be sure it is OK.
