hi folks. new to the forum. I have an issue with a magic chef double oven. the last time i had to replace the top oven element, i noticed that one of the wires had the insulation burned off. i taped it with some high temperature electrical tape and it had work fine until today. if the upper element is not the problem, what can i do for this wiring issue? is there a wiring harness that i can order? thanks in advance for the assistance

Hello,

You won't be able to get a new wiring harness for the wall oven but replacing the burnt wiring is certainly an option. Replacing the wire connectors on the ends of the wire is usually a good idea also, if they are discolored.

We do sell range wire and 1/4" connectors. It's a good idea to solder the connector to the end of the wire, and wherever you make the splice into the existing wire. Make sure you use some heat shrink or quality electrical tape where you make the splice. First and foremost, remove the power from the oven before doing any of the work mentioned above.
