Model Number: Kera807pss00 Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 1 - 5 years
This is a 5 year old oven.
What happened was I replaced the dual element and single element and put it back together it was working fine. But one of other dual element wasn't working. So I switched the dual elements with each other thinking that would solve the problem but I was wrong. After switching them I plugged everything back in and turned the elements on. To my surprise I heard a loud pop and none of the switch's were coming on I checked out the control board and saw that the solder from one of them was fried so I soldered a wire from one connection to the other. But still no power is going to the elements and as well the switch led's aren't coming on. But the hot surface is lighting up saying the single element is hot but it's not even turning on. I've checked the thermostat and both thermal control fuse in the front as well as the power supply for continuity they all seem to be working. As well ran all the diagnostic test from here: https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/ff6fd32da573564a85256f0e0048243d/$FILE/KAELECTRANGE.pdf The oven fan's relay's and everything seem to be working. Just the elements are not heating up and the switch led's aren't coming on so I'm thinking there maybe something wrong with the switch? All 4 of them? The error codes I'm getting are going from Error 2-5 with the same info on the display for all (pictures included) Looking for someone's input as I've tried tested everything and have gone through a lot of threads here. Thanks all for your help. Ads By Google Related Models |

Bought new thermal fuse and thermostat in the front replaced it just to make sure and still no power.
Checked 110 and 220 going to elements at the connection and they all seem to have power coming to it. Could it be the switch? That is the only thing I can narrow it down to. Which will be a costly fix to replace all 4 switches. |
