I was cooking on the cooktop and had something in the oven when it made a popping sound. I looked in the right hand back corner, where it curves up to the controls and saw a small amount of smoke. I let the oven cool down and then tried it and it didn't seem to be warming. I turned on the convection bake and got a small amount of heat. Most of what I have found searching the internet is related to different error codes but it isn't displaying anything other than the normal time, etc. It is an electric range.

I removed the screws and tipped the control panel forward and didn't see any obvious signs of electronic failure. Sears of course won't answer any questions, they just want to send someone out.

Any ideas?
