After being gone for a week our Kitchen Aid oven will not work when setting the BAKE temperature above 260 degrees. It gives an "Err" message instead. We've tried unplugging it for several minutes and it will heat up if the temperature is set at 260 degrees or lower. We inherited the stove when we bought our house back in March so I may be underestimating the age. Any ideas??

Somehow your oven is set to cook in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.

To switch back to Fahrenheit open the oven door, then press and hold BROIL for 5 sec or until "F°" will appear on the display.

I never worked so hard to solve such a simple problem.

The solution appears to be the same for my KitchenAid (kgsc308Lss0) convection gas oven. Symptoms were exactly the same, and now I can set temp setppoints above 260 again.
