Model Number: GR563LXSQ0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Broiler does not work but oven does. Also, taking much longer to preheat. Does element need to be replaced. Or could it be a fuse problem or a control panel problem?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL GR563LXSQ0 30" ELECTRIC CERAN FREESTANDING RANGE SELF CLEAN OVEN | AppliancePartsPros.com See the attachment for the tech sheet. Does element need to be replaced. Or could it be a fuse problem or a control panel problem? It could be any one of the above. Probably easiest to unplug the stove and remove the broiler element (Item 6 in Section 3) and check it with a meter, should be around 17 ohms. It is a good idea to clip something (clothespin etc.) to the wires so that they do not disappear into the back of the unit. If OK then next would be the thermal fuse (Item 9 in Section 3), should be 0 ohms. If both are OK and the wiring to the element is OK then it is probably the control board.

We replaced the broiler element with a new one. Still does not work. If the fuse is bad, would the bake element still be working? |
