Default Gas Oven Only Preheats / Foriegn Model Number
Model Number: See Message   Brand: White-Westinghouse   Age: 5 - 10 years

I've read several inquiries similar to mine. So describe my issue, then what I think the part is that is appropriate (based on Gene's responses to similar inquiries). Unfortunately my Gas Oven is a Canadian Model. I can't find a way to find the American equivilant.

WhiteWestinghouse Model: CGF372W1
Serial: VF31904094

Issue: the oven will preheat, to about 150-200 degrees F- but no more, the console will read 'PRE' for hours. After reading some of Gene's responses, I did more testing. It seems that when I heat up the oven, the upper gas goes on (Broil) but no heat comes from the bottom. The Rangetop works fine.
I suspect the bottom is not lighting, and therefore the oven can't heat up enough to reach the point where the preheat indicator goes off.

I have no multimeter to test anything, just basic tools. I've changed thermostats on Electric Ranges, but nothing on Gas yet.

Do I go buy a multimeter and stick it somewhere to determine the problem? What is the American equivilant of my Canadian Westinghouse Stove?
