The outer glass was broken about 5 years ago. We have been using the oven without problems. My wife has finally had enough and wants glass in the outer door.

Can I replace it with any glass? Tempered glass?

I found a replacement glass on line but it is about $100.

It would have to be tempered at least, yes. We had done that in a couple of cases of last resort. The biggest problem is that it is clear and the insides of the door are visible through it.

And it's still available???

That is about the going price for outer door glasses unfortunately, but I'm sure you'll find getting a piece cut and tempered will be at least 1/2 that price (and still have the disadvantage described above).
