What was the original problem? Why do you think the whole harness has to be replaced?

Wire insulation has deteriorated on some parts of the harness and the contacts with the burner element have deteriorated so that the element does not make contact. I could replace the contacts and get it to work OK, but that the insulation is black and fragile in areas worries me. I found a universal receptacle kit part #3374 that replaced only the terminal receptacles of the wire harness and replaced all the charred and damaged portions. Problem solved. Everything works great again.

The wires can be replaced individually if necessary by cutting and splicing or getting a local appliance service depot to make up a replacement with appropriate terminals installed, according to a supplied sample.

The element receptacle (see the following link) comes with short wire leads attached to the element contacts that can be connected to the original wiring.

If however the original receptacle is needing replacement due to burning/melting, the tips of the element should be inspected before just replacing the receptacle. See the following link:
