The 2 burners on the left as you look at the range went out at the same time while using the front burner. The other burners work fine and the oven and all other electronics seem to be fine. It is a ceramic or glass top. What is the likely problem?

Quote:The 2 burners on the left as you look at the range went out at the same time Is the range in Canada? Canadian versions of that model are suppose to incorporate a relay which when in clean cuts out the surface elements. If one half of that relay failed, it might produce your symptoms. Otherwise there doesn't appear to be anything in your range which is designed to affect just those element so either it is just coincidence that either the switch or the element for each happened to fail at the same time or there maybe a problem in the range's wiring common to both those element switches. Someone might need to look into the switch wiring first then proceed to the switches and then testing the elements if necessary.
