Question 19 year old Admiral oven - broil element not working
Brand: Admiral   Age: More than 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
We have an old Admiral Self Clean oven and the broil, auto, self clean functions don't work. We replaced the broil element, no improvement. My husband looked in the back and switched the bake and broil cables and the broil worked ok, but I want the bake and broil elements to function, don't care about the self clean function but it too doesn't work, and the little indicator light at the dial only lights up when the Bake feature is selected. Normally we would buy a new stove but we just sold the place and we must have the broil function fixed for the new owners.
Thank you for your time.

Cool Model number missing

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number. If you post it we can look it up to see what appliance design you're dealing with to maybe suggest a course of action.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

Cool Canadian Admiral

That appears to be a Canadian Admiral appliance for which I have no information available to me. I have no way to look it up to see how it was designed.

Than there may be a problem in the controller... whichever type might be used on your model.

Sorry but I can't help much without knowing the design of the appliance involved.
