My husband was cleaning the gas burner areas on the cooktop and water went down into the burner and he heard a noise.

Now, the burner won't self light. You have to use a lighter to light it. What part do I need to replace so it will self light like before?

It may not need any part. The moisture may just be creating a short preventing a spark from occurring. In that case it might dry out on its own or a hairdryer, etc. might be able to be used to help it along.
