Model Number: AKT3040SS Brand: Amana Age: 1 - 5 years
When turned on, regardless of setting, Front right 7" burner stays full on. I have not left it on long enough to see if the thermal cutoff will turn it off as I do not want to fracture the glass.
My question is, does this seem to indicate that the burner itself (AP4096980) is defective or the dial switch (AP4101376) controlling the burner? I can test the switch by using one of the other two switches but not the burner components as it is a single unit. Will that help to pinpoint the problem? Thank you, Jerry. Related Models |

LINK > Amana AKT3040SS Element Switch There is no failure an element can suffer that can cause it to stay on high continually. It is the switch that should be regulating its power supply. Dan O. www.Appliance411.com The Appliance Information Site =D~~~~~~ |
