Hello,

I have a GE profile glass ceramic S/N ML205051q
The right rear element does not humm when turned on and does not heat.
The other 3 elements do work.
I do not know what the trouble is. Element or the control unit. If given instruction I feel I can repair this myself.

It could be the element switch, the element itself, the limiter on the element or the wiring between the element and the switch.

If given instruction I feel I can repair this myself.

The element should be able to be tested for continuity (see the following link) to see if it was good or not as could the element limiter and wiring if you can follow a wiring diagram.

Getting to those components is something in itself, I could not tell you how to go about it. You can however see exploded parts views for your model at the following link which might give you an idea how your range is constructed.
