Our oven wouldn't light a number of weeks ago. It would release gas and you could hear the spark repeating and igniting the burner. It kept doing this on and off, and some heat could be felt, so it had to have lit. About a week later we tried to use the oven and it worked fine. It is now doing the same thing again. I would like to try cleaning the parts involved with this process, before more aggressive troubleshooting, can you help me?

Okay, if anyone read this and wants to help. I checked the igniter and burner. The wires on the igniter looked like a mouse had chewed off the insulation. I covered the wire, and cleaned the inside area, and the holes on the burner. Before taking the igniter out, I had tried to lite the oven, the igniter clicked and arced but the burner did not lite. After what I did ,the burner lit, but the flame went out after around 10 to 15 seconds. It would attempt to relight after another pause. All other stove parts are working. Any suggestions? My model number is off by a digit and I have a bad back and it is hard for me to get to it's location. Thanks.
