Ignitor for Signature 2000 Tappan
Brand: -brand- Age: Less than 1 year
Hello-
I just ordered from you guys the flat style ignitor which looks just like the one that I removed from my Tappan.
However, the one that I removed has one wire connected to a gray clip that clips onto the bottom middle of the oven near the gas line and the other wire connects to a white plug on the side of the oven with a wire coming from the white plug to another gray clip that connects onto the bottom middle next to the first wire.
It basically makes a loop of three wires but connects to the oven in three places and not just one white plug and your replacement seems to only have the two wires that go into a white plug.
My question is can I just plug your white plug into the plug that is there or do I still need this loop with the 2 gray connectors connected to the bottom of the oven and the white plug. It looks like the gray connecters could be grounds but am not sure. The book for the oven had no parts details at all.
Many thanks-
