I just purchased a used Maytag Gemini Double Oven. The top element in the lower oven doesn't come on in the bake cycle. It does work in the broil cycle so I know it’s not the element. I’ve put a meter on the element and every now and then I can hear a relay click on then off. I’d have power on the element just for a second or two and then nothing. My guess would be a timer problem or an electronic board, I don’t know. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe even a cost for the part to repair it. I’d be able to change it out myself.

The broil element should not come on at full power during the bake cycle like it does during a broil cycle.

Thank you ApplianceJunk for your response. In the top oven the top element comes on full power (glows red) when it in bake cycle. Could it be defective? In the bottom oven it just clicks on and off every now and then.
