burner on light stays on. when you turn on the burner knobs each burner works. burners do not get hot or warm when turned off at the knob, but the burner light will not go off.

Kim, The model number you supplied is incorrect, and you did not mention which burner light was staying on. Based on what I could find (jbp24dm1ww) your issue will most likely be in one of the infinite switches ( L to P circuit is stuck closed) or you'd have a shorted wire to the pilot light) Your best bet would be to check each switch circuit with a multimeter Part number: AP3873826
