Electronically controlled Whirlpool WW2780W double oven: Start upper oven with keypad, set temperature and within about 30 seconds it turns off without heating up. Lower oven works fine. Any ideas?

Whirlpool Double Oven...

WW2780W is the model number of a Jenn-Air oven, not a Whirlpool.

You mean the control resets to standby mode (ie. as if it hasn't been programmed to do anything)??

If that is what is occurring, I can't think of anything that would cause that besides a malfunctioning control.

:eek:Yes, Jenn-Air not Whirlpool

Yes, the digital touch pad resets as if you hadn't entered anything to turn it on.

:confused:When you say "control", you mean the timer- clock circuit board control behind the touch pad, correct?

Yes the actual electronic circuit board unit. It contains the microchips which govern its actions.
