I am working on an older frididaire. I took several readings at varing temperatures. all were dead on consistant - 75° cooler (i.e. the oven temp was always less than the dial) this model is all dials, except a L.E.D. display for time and temp.

LR,LF "BAKE-DIAL" DISPLAY OVEN RF RR

I am familiar with the adjuster behind the dial, and the screw in the center type. this model does not have either. I took the back off, and it appears to be just an old fashion type rheostat - couple wires and 2 screws.

Is there a way to calibrate these ovens that I may be missing? Is the part still available? Since I am working with exposed wires and this system is A/C, Do i need to wait a certain amount of time after unplugging, or is it like any other electrical appliance - no current, no worry.

THANK you!
