what would caulse the oven to keep triping the circuit braker the gas valve or the ignitor i inspected the ignitor and found no visible defects

Does it trip as soon as the oven it turned on or only after the oven has been in use a while?

Neither should. If the breaker trips as soon as the oven is turned on, look for a short in the wiring of the appliance somewhere.
